Relationships between sisters are very special. Oftentimes they have completely different interests, tastes and schemes of life. One might be loud and outgoing whereas the other is more contemplative, cautious, withdrawn into herself and rather shy. In the beginning this also seemed to be the case in the Miller family: Sienna, the extrovert younger daughter decided to study drama at the Lee Strasbourg Institute in New York to become a famous actress, whereas her three years older sister Savannah proceeded a career in design with a focus on knitwear studying at Central Saint Martins College of Fashion and Design in London. Working for Alexander McQueen and Matthew Williamson, she gained an insight into the work of some of the most inspiring contemporary designers. But despite these apparent differences, sisters are attached by an unique connection and share a special relationship build on indestructable trust. This helps them to make their personal strengths work as perfect complements. In the case of Sienna and Savannah, this combination leads to an irresistible union of passion, esthetics and style.

The Miller sisters realized the potential which lies in their different abilities. In 2007 the sisters decided to build up their own label - Twenty8twelve. The name is an allusion to Siennas birthday on the 28th of December and shows that Sienna might be seen as the dominant, flashy and approachable part of the team. Her fame and popularity contributed for a huge part to the labels immediate success and was the perfect marketing and PR mechanism which is necessary for an advancing fashion brand. Nevertheless the creations by the sisters are characterized by high design expertise and a clear and cool style: a luxurious, modern and androgyne look, inspired by BoHo Style, a mix of London flair and French Chic, sometimes a little bit eccentric. The sisters wanted to design a collection of clothes they would like to wear but which cant be found in any other designers repertoire yet. A plausible mission.

Sienna serves as the muse and continuous inspiration for her sisters implementations and designs. Additionally, the sisters process the work of other artists, poets and illustrators in their collections. Every season they vary prints on jerseys and T-Shirts which include poems or pieces of art and make the clothes to real collectors items. They can transport different moods and inspirations and can bring a very personal touch into their work. Their collections include clothing - denim, knitwear, fine dresses, casual pieces - and a very popular line of accessories. Each piece is characterized by a premium quality and perfect cuts and finishing. Furthermore the collections reflect the different lifestyles and characters of both Sienna and Savannah. By now the collection can be bought in two Twenty8twelve boutiques in London, online and since March 2011 in all Selfridges stores in the UK.
